About

Krill Plus

Omega-3 fatty acids are important to your overall health. Getting them from whole foods — such as fatty fish — is the best way to ensure that you do not suffer from any deficiencies. If you don't consume a great deal of fish, however, then consider consuming an omega-3 supplement. This is where Krill Plus can help!

Superba2™  Krill, the main source of Omega-3’s in Krill Plus™, is a superior source of Omega-3 due to its enhanced bioavailability, as well as benefits associated with Omega-3 phospholipids.

Krill Oil vs Fish Oil

Krill contains two marine omega-3 fatty acids, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), which are bound in phospholipids. Fish oil contains EPA and DHA, which are mostly carried in triglycerides. The difference in these two types of fat molecules is that triglycerides have a tendency to float on stomach fluids, which tends to cause fish burps, while phospholipids blend in water and merge with fluid in the stomach, resulting in no fishy aftertaste. Moreover, studies show that phospholipids are a more efficient carrier of Omega-3, 6 and 9 compared to triglycerides.

What makes our Krill Oil different?

Our Krill Plus offers a unique range of Essential Fatty acids, including Omega-3, 6, and 9 from various natural sources, including Superba 2™ Krill oil, Flaxseed, Borage, Safflower, and Sunflower oils, plus an added boost of Omega-7 from Sea buckthorn oil.

Flaxseed Oil

Flaxseed oil is rich in the omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids Alpha-Lipoic-Acid (ALA), which have been shown to provide a number of health benefits, including minimizing inflammation, sustaining heart health, and preventing cancer cells from growing.

Borage Oil

Borage oil contains high levels of gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) and linolenic acid (LA). GLA is an essential fatty acid that serves important functions for the joints health, structure and performance. Borage oil may also promote healing through alleviating inflammation as well.

Sea Buckthorn Oil

Sea buckthorn oil is a great source of omega-7, and which may be beneficial for the heart by lowering blood pressure, improving blood cholesterol levels and averting blood clots.

Safflower Oil

Safflower oil is high in linoleic acid, which may help to reduce cholesterol levels and blood pressure

Superba2™ Krill

Superba2™ Krill, the main source of Omega-3’s in Krill 369 Plus 7™ is a rich source of omega-3 phospholipids, which has been shown to be the preferred form transported into the brain tissue across the blood-brain barrier. As a result of enhanced fatty acid absorption into the red blood cells and increased distribution to target organs – such as heart, brain and liver, and other tissues, Omega-3 bioavailability and bio-efficiency increases when delivered as phospholipids, compared to other sources delivered as triglycerides. The research indicates that Superba2™ Krill oil is a superior source of Omega-3 for delivery to the brain because of its increased bioavailability and benefits associated with Omega-3 Phospholipids

antartic-krill

Antarctic Krill

Antarctic Krill (Euphasia Superba) is a cold water marine crustacean, rich in omega-3 EPA (Eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid). They feed on microscopic acid that produces these omega-3 fatty acids. As these accumulate in their eggs and body, EPA and DHA can be extracted in oil carrying with them other chemical compounds such as phospholipids, choline, and Astaxanthin. This dynamic blend of components makes krill oil unique in the marine omega-3 industry. There is no purified or distillation required compared to other marine omega-3 sources and thus krill is considered a whole food extract as it remains in its original form. The immediate processing of the krill and its natural antioxidant complex prevents the decomposition and degradation, which protects and stabilizes the nutritional purity of the oil.

Krill oil helps!

I am not a fan of fish or any kind of seafood (wish I was) so I feel like this is the closest I can get to getting good fats into my diet.
